About You

As a staff or senior product manager in CARSOME, your role is to strategically direct and enhance the used car transaction product, focusing on the entire buyer and seller journey. This involves defining key product and business outcomes, improving the experience of sales agents, and leveraging data and software for decision-making. The goal is to drive product excellence that aligns with business objectives and delivers a superior experience to both internal stakeholders and end-users. Taking this opportunity, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of a key product line within a fast-moving organization, directly influencing the buyer and seller experience in the largest used car market across Southeast Asia.

Your Day to Day

  • Define and achieve critical outcomes for the used car transaction product, ensuring alignment with key business goals
  • Establish strategic direction for the used car buyer or seller journey, encompassing stages from awareness to delivery
  • Influence organizational priorities through effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive the development of product features and solutions focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of sales agents in managing deals
  • Utilize strong communication skills and a passion for leveraging data and software in driving large-scale business decisions
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs, considering impacts on user experience, and balance product innovation with scalability and sustainability
  • Translate data insights into actionable product developments that deliver tangible benefits to end customers
  • Operate within an Agile framework, regularly reassessing business needs, adjusting priorities, setting milestones, and managing deliverables; proactively identify opportunities and risks, adapting strategies as needed
  • Engage in all stages of the product development lifecycle to ensure cohesive product strategies and execution
  • Oversee the launch of minimum-loveable-products, underpinned by both quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior
  • Employ experimental approaches to refine product offerings and enhance user experience

Your Know How

  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • 5+ years of product management or related industry experience
  • Tertiary qualifications preferably BA/BSc or equivalent
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and a high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development and understanding of Agile Principles
  • Experience in successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions such as dashboards, monitoring, real-time alerting
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Proactive self-starter with strong project management skills and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A high degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Experience in a fast-moving digital start-up organization
  • Fluent in Chinese and passionate about technology, retail, and e-commerce is a plus
